Umm Suqeim is a beautiful locality in the center of modern day Dubai. Specifically, Umm Suqeim is located on the west side of Dubai, along the famous Jumeirah Beach sea side and coastline. It is bordered to the north by the old Jumeirah, to the south by Al Sufouh, and to the west by Al Safa, Al Manara and Umm Al Sheif, which are all collectively referred to as Jumeirah. All these areas are areas that we regularly visit to provide window cleaning services.
Further, Umm Suqeim comprises three communities — Umm Suqeim 1, Umm Suqeim 2 and Umm Suqeim 3. As mentioned above, these all house wealthy and affluent residential communities (both local and expat) and many tourist attractions. Umm Al Sheif Road runs from SZR to the beach and separates Umm Suqeim from Jumeirah. Al Manara Road divides Umm Suqeim 1 from Umm Suqeim 2 and Al Thanya Road separates Umm Suqeim 2 from Umm Suqeim 3. Al Thanya is a well known road with a supermarkets etc. and is the most important road in all of Umm Suqeim because of the families that reside there. Nationals of GCC countries can generally only purchase properties in these areas and not expats.
There are many well known tourist attractions and commercial centers located in Umm Suqeim. Emirates International School and Suqeim Public Park are located in Umm Suqeim 2, while the wave and the sail, i.e. Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Burj Al Arab and Wild Wadi water park are located in Umm Suqeim 3, along the Jumeirah Beach coastline. Schools in the area include Raffles, Emirates International School – Jumeirah, and the highly regarded King’s Dubai School, a private primary school with around 900 students enrolled.
